The House Is Small But The Welcome Is Big is on exhibit at the United Nations through December 11, 2009 before traveling to Colorado Springs, Colorado. This project is a Social Art Initiative of Venice Arts, with HIV + South African women and Mozambican children who have been orphaned by AIDS. Read more

USC student Amanda Fallon explores how the “insiders” view is changing the paradigm in photographic storytelling: Technological advances are constantly changing and reshaping the ways in which photography is used. New concepts like participatory photography and citizen photojournalism have changed the dynamics of photography. First, technology has enabled many people to own individual digital cameras, which is what led to the emergence of citizen photojournalism. Read more

Barrio El Progreso Public Art Exhibit

Through March 30, 2009  an exhibit of large scale participant-photographs will be on display in a community just outside of Bogotá. This unique project, “Barrio El Progreso”, consists of 100 photographs of 1.5m x 2m and 2.25m x 3m in size that are hung on the walls of the houses in Barrio El Progreso of Soacha municipality.
