Photovoice: The Issue, The Image, The Voice, The Solution

You are cordially invited to a photography and creative writing exhibit focusing on the experiences of students with disabilities at the University of South Carolina at the Russell House Ballroom. The exhibit opened Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Through photographic images and the written word, Photovoice offers an insider’s view of the strengths displayed by this unique student population, as well as the challenges they face.

Barrio El Progreso Public Art Exhibit

Through March 30, 2009  an exhibit of large scale participant-photographs will be on display in a community just outside of Bogotá. This unique project, “Barrio El Progreso”, consists of 100 photographs of 1.5m x 2m and 2.25m x 3m in size that are hung on the walls of the houses in Barrio El Progreso of Soacha municipality. Zanmi Lakay Returns to Haiti this Spring

March, 2009. Zanmi Lakay, an organization dedicated to helping current and former street children in Haiti, will be implementing several projects during Spring 2009. They are looking for digital cameras for their Photography Workshops, as well as support for airline luggage fees, care bag items (soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, combs, hair ribbons, beads, good adult size t-shirts, compact non-battery games), soccer uniforms, and other contributions.
